Harsco Corporation has expanded its P-K SONIC® line of commercial boilers to now include the SC-2000 (2,000 Mbtu/h). According to the company, the addition of the SONIC SC-2000 stainless steel boiler from its Harsco Industrial Group’s Patterson-Kelley division continues to expand the boundaries of its commitment to energy efficiency and innovative design.

As with the SC-4000 and SC-3000, the P-K SONIC SC-2000 will also feature the DUET™ technology. This concept allows each section of the engine to be engineered independently to deliver better heat transfer and higher reliability through the condensing process. This unique design permits the P-K SONIC boiler to operate at 96% efficiency with a 5:1 turndown and ultra-low emissions.

The P-K SONIC line is controlled by the company’s proprietary NURO touch-screen control system. The NURO’s mini-computer design covers all aspects of a boiler’s operations and provides facility managers with simple touchpad controls for enhanced diagnostics, customizable adjustments, and the ability to upgrade software via USB.
