Environmental Systems Design, Inc. has promoted Paul Barter, Zackery House, Keith Seier, and Michael Thomas to senior vice president.

Barter is ESD’s High Performance Buildings team leader. A patented inventor with 27 years of experience in the construction industry, his main focus is on project delivery and growth in high performance buildings, central plants, micro grids, resilient and distributed power distribution, combined heat and power (CHP), and high-rise designs. He is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and the Consulting Electrical Engineers of Chicago, and is a Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois.

House leads ESD’s Technology Consulting team and is a professional technology leader with over 20 years of experience leading large-scale, multi-site technology, and telecommunication projects. According to the company, he is a business performance challenger with a proven track record of implementing targeted action plans and achieving business results to maximize client operations, profitability, and shareholder value through technology systems.

Seier leads ESD’s Technical Operations team, supervising the technical directors and overseeing risk management processes for ESD, including quality assurance and quality control. He also leads ESD’s technical training programs, participates in overall company strategic planning, and is a member of the business operations team. Seier has over 17 years of experience in building design and construction and specializes in high-rise building and high performance building design and renovations.

Thomas is the Director of Business Development at ESD. The company says he has been a leader in developing and executing successful go-to-market and sales strategies by combining business development, marketing, and sales skills with technical aptitude and project management abilities. He focuses on sales, business development, thought leadership, and developing and managing dynamic, long-term relationships with clients and partner organizations.
