Current codes requirements are now requiring the design of proper air barriers within the building enclosure. Along with these new design standards are the requirements to conduct a building pressurization test. To discuss these requirements and the pressurization test, the National Environmental Balancing Bureau will present a free webcast on Sept. 25, 2 p.m. EST.
The NEBB says it has been working closely with the air barrier industry to develop a testing certification program. In 2012, a Building Enclosure Testing program was launched by NEBB.
Jim Huber, vice president of NEBB, will moderate the webcast. Phil Emory of NEBB's BET Committee will be the speaker for the event. Emory is the senior project manager for Neudorfer Engineers. He is currently serving on the ABBA Whole Building Tightness Committee and is co-author of the NEBB’s BET Procedural Standard.
