Camfil has released an entirely new filter technology for the efficient removal of both particulate and odors. Camfil City-Flo XL was engineered to meet the high air quality standards of today’s green buildings. It is ideal for use in offices, retail locations, the hospitality industry, schools, and other public facilities. City-Flo XL has a distinctive tapered pocket design to maintain low airflow resistance and ensure full media use, plus a galvanized steel frame for structural integrity where airflows vary or are unusually turbulent. It uses a high-efficiency fiberglass media, bonded to a broad-spectrum carbon-adsorbent material. The synergy of this combination provides control of particulate and odors, including a wide spectrum of airborne chemicals. Ozone, diesel particulates, and volatile organic chemicals, all common in urban environments, are removed by City-Flo XL, along with polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), substances that are known for their carcinogenic, mutagenic and teratogenic properties. The filter has a minimum efficiency reporting value (MERV) of 13 when evaluated per ASHRAE Standard 52.2. This comfortably meets the requirement for commercial applications designed to LEED standards.
