The company has introduced its ECD-445 wind-driven rain louver.

Pottorff has released its new AMCA certified, 4-in. model ECD-445 horizontal blade, wind-driven rain louver. The ECD-445 offers exceptional protection against the most severe conditions and is ideally suited for high wind areas or applications that are sensitive to wind-driven rain penetration. At the 29-mph wind velocity and 3 in./hr simulated rainfall AMCA point, the ECD-445 provides an A Wind Class rating with a 99% effectiveness ratio. At the 50-mph wind velocity and 8 in./hr simulated rainfall AMCA point, the louver provides a B Wind Class rating with a 95% effectiveness ratio. The ECD-445 is also AMCA certified for air performance and water penetration. It has a free area of 43.3%, a beginning point of water penetration above the 1,250 fpm maximum certified by AMCA, and only a 0.15 in. pressure drop at 860 fpm.
