The ARMOR® wall mount water heater is the latest addition to the ARMOR line.
Expanding upon the innovative line of ARMOR® commercial water heaters, Lochinvar, LLC has introduced two new ARMOR wall mount models. Available with inputs of 125,000 Btuh and 199,999 Btuh, the new ARMOR wall mount offers up to 96% thermal efficiency with a 5:1 turndown and a compact, wall-mounted design that fits the tightest installations.
These new space-saving models are the latest addition to the ARMOR Commercial Water Heater family, which consists of floor mounted models that range from 150,000 Btuh to 800,000 Btuh and the ARMOR X2 with 1.0, 1.3, and 1.5 million Btuh inputs. ARMOR is known throughout the industry for its stainless steel heat exchanger technology with modulating/condensing combustion and superior energy efficiency.
Designed to be installed with a separate storage tank, ARMOR is at the heart of Lochinvar’s “Better Idea” water heating philosophy. This unique design protects against the harmful effects of lime scale buildup, which can cause a traditional heater to fail in as little as two to five years and increase operating costs significantly. Since ARMOR heats the water and then deposits it in an unfired storage tank, lime scale buildup does not impair the heat transfer efficiency.
The new ARMOR Wall Mount models are equipped with the advanced SMART SYSTEM™ operating control, the ultimate ideal solution maximizing hot water delivery. The feature-rich SMART SYSTEM interface includes a built-in cascading sequencer that allows for water heaters with different Btuh inputs to be installed together to maximize turndown capability.
Designed to provide tremendous flexibility, the new ARMOR Wall Mount not only frees up space in the mechanical room but also offers five unique venting options. It can be installed with direct-vent air intake and exhaust runs up to 100 equivalent feet using PVC, CPVC, Polypropylene or AL29-4C stainless steel vent pipe. Intake and exhaust runs can terminate horizontally through a sidewall or vertically through the roof.
