FHP, a unit of Bosch Group’s Thermotechnology Division, announced the availability of its EP series pumps in sizes ranging from 0.5 to 6 tons.Designed to assist in achieving Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certification by reducing operating costs and CO2 emissions, the EP series boasts the highest level of energy efficiency of any commercial water source heat pump on the market with low operation costs.

These single stage heat pumps can be used in geothermal applications when equipped with an extended range option, and an optional heavy compressor blanket is available for units installed in mission-critical locations.

The EP series sound package features a floating base pan, which isolates the compressor from the unit’s cabinet and absorbs its vibration ensuring quiet operation.  A four-sided filter rack and foil-faced fiberglass insulation throughout the unit are also standard for improved IAQ.

“The new EP series not only gives FHP a more complete product portfolio to offer the marketplace, but will enable contractors and engineers to achieve LEED certification for their commercial projects, decrease their operating costs and reduce CO2 emissions,” said John Allcott, VP International Product Management, Business Unit Air Conditioning from FHP Bosch Group HP. To assist contractors and engineers with easy specifying and ordering of the EP series, FHP has instituted a software tool – the EAD system – where specific operating parameters can be input and the software will display up to 6 different unit selections at varying efficiencies and costs.  Different options for each model can be selected, and EAD software will generate performance data and unit drawings, which can then be used for bid submissions.
