The F333 is part of the Accusense embedded sensor family, a series of sensors which are designed for field systems. For our customers’ laboratories and research facilities, Accusense also has a family of Instrumentation Air Velocity Sensors, designed specifically for testing and development programs, with NIST Traceable Calibration Certificates to meet your ISO or quality requirements.
Manufactured with RoHS compliant, rugged construction, the F333 is a value-packed sensor aimed at ducting applications, fume hood and bio safety cabinets, as well as industrial process equipment, and packaged electronics, like datacom chassis and rack equipment.
The F333 provides the user with air velocity measurement range of 0.2 m/s to 10.0 m/s (40-2000 fpm) and maintains 10% accuracy across a temperature range of 15°C to 60°C. Improved accuracy can be maintained as the user constrains the temperature range during measurement, and demonstrates a 2% or better repeatability of reading.
With a user-configurable, linear voltage output, the user can easily integrate the sensor into a control system, instrument panel or interface to other equipment management devices. A dedicated open drain alarm pin is available, and offers fully configurable temperature or velocity set points. The F333 provides a UART or I2C interface as well, so the user can actually access specific memory locations for more complex control algorithms.
Some special customized outputs are also available. For example, some users employ an available PWM output to directly control a DC fan based on the sensed air velocity. This is an excellent way to provide smart thermal control, or to overcome increased air flow impedance, when a system filter clogs over time.
