NEBB has released the second edition of the Procedural Standards for Measurement of Sound and Vibration manual. This latest edition is entirely rewritten and focuses on the measurement and reporting techniques for obtaining sound and vibration data that a NEBB contractor and other professionals in the HVAC industry may need in the field. In contrast to highly technical, intricate texts with theoretical language written for acoustical engineers, the manual stresses the practical aspects of measuring sound and vibration.

The manual also contains exclusive supplementary material - prepared by NEBB - that provides additional benefits to the sound and vibration industry. NEBB pioneered the development of programs in the sound and vibration field applicable to the HVAC industry and the updated manual continues to provide the latest, up-to-date technology and procedures. First, it specifies minimum requirements for sound and vibration work, which are the only such requirements available within the industry. The text also contains sample specifications that can be customized by engineers and specifiers to meet project requirements.
