Messe Frankfurt presented its concept for an ‘IKK Building' event in May of this year in response to a competition initiated by the IKK organizers, IKK Messe-, Wirtschafts- und Informationsdienste GmbH. Its expressed aim was to integrate building-services-oriented refrigeration technology into the trade fair for bathroom, building, energy, air-conditioning technology, and renewable energies. "The integration of IKK Building into Aircontec in association with ISH is the logical development of an exhibition concept which finds its justification in growth, consumer demand and political constraints such as, for instance, the ‘European Energy Performance of Buildings'. As a result, it is ways of looking at the total energy performance of a building which lie at the center of the event," suggested Iris Jeglitza-Moshage, vice president for technical fairs at Messe Frankfurt.
In this way, visitors have access to an even more closely concentrated range of products and will, in future, be able to find out about and exchange ideas about technologies and products to do with buildings and building engineering in a much more comprehensive manner. Particular advantages for manufacturers in the field of refrigeration technology lie in the fact that it is only at ISH/Aircontec that they will find important target groups all in the one place and in this optimum structure.
Future IKK events abroad, too, will proceed from the close cooperation between IKK GmbH and Messe Frankfurt. From this point of view, both partners have in their sights important future markets such as India, the CIS States and the Middle East.
