John Jernigan Ph.D., P.E., special projects engineer for Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR), has been named the Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE) Memphis Chapter's 2006 Outstanding Engineer of the Year. It is the second straight year an SSR employee has received the honor. Tom Needham, senior project manager for SSR's Memphis office, was recognized as the organization's 2005 Outstanding Engineer of the Year.
