HVAC Excellence announced that 19 HVACR programs were granted accreditation during 2005. They are: North American HVAC Training Center (Redlands, CA), Louisiana Technical College (New Orleans,, Heart of Georgia Technical College (Dublin, GA), Louisiana Technical College (Abbeville, LA), Lively Technical Center (Tallahassee, FL), Linn State Technical College (Linn, MO), Louisiana Technical College (Ferriday, LA), Okefenokee Technical College (Waycross, GA), Ivy Tech State College (South Bend, IN), Tennessee Technology Center (Murfreesboro, TN), Louisiana Technical College (Morgan City, LA), Clovis Community College (Clovis, NM), Louisiana Technical College (Leesville, LA), Tennessee Technology Center (Nashville), Berks Career Center (Leesport, PA), Tennessee Technology Center (Memphis), Louisiana Technical College (Reserve, LA), Tennessee Technology Center (Crossville, TN) and the United States Air Force HVACR Training Center - Community College of the Air Force (Wichita Falls, TX).

All of the programs should be commended as they have met or surpassed the strict national standards established by HVAC Excellence. Each of these programs submitted a self-study measuring their programs against HVAC Excellence standards. After each self-study was reviewed and approved of by the HVAC Excellence executive board, an onsite evaluation team of recognized professionals, comprised of HVACR educators and school administrators, from within the HVACR industry, validated the self-study through an intense on-site visit of the programs.

Programmatic Accreditation benefits the industry as it certifies that a program meets or exceeds all established standards and requirements of academic excellence in curriculum, student facilities, placement services, financial aid, training facilities, equipment, safety and faculty credentials. HVAC Excellence is the only HVACR organization to meet the United States Federal Regulations for accrediting HVACR programs.
