FieldServers fromFieldServer Technologies(Milpitas, CA) are both protocol translators and Ethernet gateways, enabling different devices to communicate with each other, even if they use different protocols. Data from the controller is sent to the FieldServer where the data is separated from the protocol layer, then used with the Modbus TCP protocol to send data to the DCS.
