Developed to teach the latest concepts in hydronic heating design,"Modern Engineering Concepts"drew praise and strong attendance during initial its six-city tour. Presented by John Siegenthaler, P.E., the seminars were attended by 241 students in Chicago; Danbury, CT; Marlborough, MA; Reno, NV; Salt Lake City; and Denver during the month of July.

The course focused on understanding newer hydronic applications for residential and commercial systems. Attendees received a full day of instruction, plus a CD containing hydronic system simulator software and sponsor technical data, a course workbook, and certificate of completion.

BNP Media's conferencing group managed the seminars, which also had 21 sponsors. Based on glowing feedback from students and sponsors, plans are underway to repeat the seminar in new locations in the first quarter of 2005. Dates and locations will be announced in an upcoming print issue of ES and on this website.
