The company has added a new size to its CADS Series Ammonia Desuperheater/ Water Heater™ line. The CADS 5.5 models are suited for ice rink applications. The unit heats potable water up to 140°F, recovering waste heat commonly known as superheat. This process allows up to 15% more condenser capacity for a 3% to 5% reduction in refrigeration operating costs, enhanced compressor performance, and prolonged compressor life, according to the manufacturer.
