The Russian Association of Engineers for Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning, Heat Supply and Building Thermal Physics (ABOK)will be presenting the 5th International Conference on Cold Climate Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning May 21 - 24, 2006 in Moscow, Russia.

The four previous conferences have been successfully organized in Rovaniemi, Finland in 1994, Reykjavik, Iceland in 1997, Sapporo, Japan in 2000, and Trondheim, Norway in 2003. Scientific co-sponsors include:

  • SCANVAC
  • ASHRAE
  • REHVA
  • ISIAQ

The main goal of the conference is to discuss and give recommendations for improvement of indoor environment quality, functionality and economy both in new and refurbished buildings. In cold climates, in particular, energy saving measures are essential in all kinds of buildings, but this may represent a health hazard if not balanced with adequate ventilation and other IEQ measures. The conference will focus on goals, conditions, challenges, pitfalls and solutions.

Abstracts are invited for scientific papers and posters. The abstract must not exceed 300 words in English and shall include title, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions. Full name, title and affiliation of the author(s) is requested. The deadline for submission of abstracts is 1 June, 2005. For further information and instructions, see www.abok.ru/CC2006.
