Firestop Solutions Group (FSG), a division of Specified Technologies, Inc. (STI), is presenting its next Firestop Instructional Training (FIT™), Level II program on September 29-30, 2005 in Somerville, NJ. This non-brand specific course is designed to educate and train participants in the fundamentals needed to become a resident firestop specialist through both classroom and hands-on lab training.

FIT™ Level II is recommended for people who will install, train, inspect, design, or supervise the firestop installations of others. These include maintenance and engineering managers, facility managers, IS managers, CE managers, infectious control managers, life-safety officers, loss reduction specialists, designers, general contractors, architects, firestop installers, and other interested parties.

This training offers registrants the option to either participate as an Attendee only or a Train-the-Trainer, which allows the participant to train staff, vendor, and contractor installers; inspect firestop installations for compliance; and provide evidence of competency-based training through professional certification. Upon completion of this two-day course, 15 AIA/CES Learning Units (HSW) are available through the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

For full course, schedule, the exclusive FIT DVD, and fee information, or to register online, visit www.stifirestop/programs/fit.html. Early registrations are recommended, as attendance is limited. To learn more about STI Firestop solutions, visit the website or call 800-992-1180.
