The new, high-impact-resistant lens for SeaMetrics Inc.'s (Kent, WA) M Series Bronze Plus flowmeters is made from Lexan, the polycarbonate polymer material used in bulletproof glass and airplane windshields. The lens provides the benefits of a wet-top pulse meter without worrying about lens fracture from water hammer in start-stop applications, says the company.
