The "Spherical Reducer" meets the need for a pipe reducer and a rubber connector in a single unit, says the manufacturer. The result is a significantly smaller face-to-face, and reduced material and installation costs, it says. The product takes up significantly less room than installing the traditional combination of a pipe reducer and a rubber joint. The product is available in eight sizes: 3 by 2 in., 3 by 2.5 in., 4 by 2 in., 4 by 3 in., 6 by 4 in., 8 by 4 in., 8 by 6 in., and 10 by 8 in.
