Carrier Corp.: control system
October 19, 2000
The company provides information on its ComfortID control system, designed to provide the right amount of air, in the right place, at the right time. The company says the system allows multi-zone office buildings to minimize energy and maintenance costs, while providing a healthy environment for its tenants. The company says its system works in concert with the its underfloor air system "to provide accurate control to each zone." The system uses direct digital control to let equipment and components communicate with one another. When carbon dioxide sensors are strategically placed in a building, the company says its ComfortID helps facility managers meet the ventilation requirements of ASHRAE 62 and 62a.
