A new plenum fan option is now available with the company’s Vision™ air handlers. According to the manufacturer, the fan option gives consulting engineers more flexibility in designing cost-effective and efficient air-handling systems for specific applications. The fan is typically available in three different diameters for each unit size, designed to provide optimum fan performance over a range of airflow and static pressure, says the company. Because it can be installed directly in the plenum without requiring additional cabinetry, the fan requires less space than a housed fan, making it suited for retrofit projects with small mechanical rooms, says the company.
