This new SCN Series of submicro drives is designed to install just like a standard IEC motor starter and includes UL-approved thermal overload protection. Like a starter, it can be panel or DIN rail-mounted and features finger-safe power terminals. A through-hole option puts the drive’s heat sink on the outside of the electrical enclosure to provide better thermal management. The SCN Series is available from 1/4 hp to 3 hp, and is available for input power sources of 120-V single phase, 230-V single phase or 230-V three phase. All models are for use with standard three phase, 230-V ac motors. Typical applications include packaging machinery, conveyors, augers, pumps, fans, vibrators, centrifuges, and mixers, to name a few.
