These horizontal double-suction HSC units are user-friendly in that all pump bearings may be removed without special tools. Industry standard mechanical seals are assembled on stainless steel shaft sleeves, with gland plates. Bearings and mechanical seals may be removed without disturbing pump casing or piping connections, says the company, and the “tilted parting” design of the casing allows the rotating assembly to sit lower in the casing, bringing the impeller eyes in line with the suction.
