The ED-200 Electronic Descaling System is designed to reduce scale buildup, boost energy transfer performance, and cut energy costs in chillers, cooling towers, evaporators, condensers, firetube boilers, and other heat exchangers. The system, through a patented technology, changes an “uncontrolled precipitation” into a “controlled precipitation” of ions, says the company. It says this process allows the mineral ions that deposit as a natural occurrence on heat exchangers to clump together into large, insoluble mineral crystals. These crystals, in turn, can flow freely through the heat transfer equipment, preventing costly scale deposits, it says.
