The Commander SE, a new, ac, open-loop vector drive, is “simple to use and easy to install,” boasts the manufacturer. The .33- through 5-hp, 230-V, and 1 to 5 hp 460-V models are now available. Higher ratings up to 20 hp are due out by mid-2000, says the company. The product has 10 initial default parameters, “meeting the needs of 80% of typical drive applications,” it says.
