The Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association(SMACNA) (Chantilly, VA) has won the Award of Excellence in the 2001 Associations Advance America Awards program, a national competition sponsored by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), Washington. SMACNA received the award for Safety Excellence Plus, a new customized safety software program specifically for the sheet metal industry. This program is now in consideration to receive a Summit Award.
