The International Code Council
February 25, 2002
The International Code Councilhas established a Safer World Foundation to support its mission to protect lives and properties through safer building construction. Experts in building safety, the ICC and its member associations have provided the building and safety guidelines for the majority (97%) of jurisdictions in the U.S.
The foundation will enable the ICC to expand its charitable offerings of education, disaster relief, and research into the building industry, which will benefit the public worldwide.
The foundation will also concentrate on standardizing the building regulatory requirements in the U.S., an effort that will significantly impact the safety and economy of the nation.
