MCAA, along with a broad coalition, resumed work with the new U.S. Congress to advance a proposal to provide accelerated depreciation for fire-sprinkler retrofits in multifamily and commercial buildings. Since new cost estimates of the proposal are likely to be revenue-neutral, the measure is expected to gain strong bipartisan support among lawmakers on the committees with jurisdiction over the bill.
