The Los Angeles Regional Crime Laboratory Facility Authority has selectedFields Devereaux Harley Ellis(Los Angeles) to program the new Los Angeles Regional Forensic Science Crime Laboratory. With $96 million allocated so far, the proposed 260,000 sq-ft structure will serve the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the Los Angeles Police Department, the California Department of Justice, and California State University at Los Angeles. Conceived as the most advanced facility of its kind in the country, the project will culminate a successful effort by the leadership of local, county, and state law enforcement agencies to bridge their organizations with a state-of-the-art, logistically-unified, and cost-efficient crime laboratory.
