Browning has introduced its latest notched V-belts with the benefits of EPDM heat-resistance and durability. The company has added an expanded temperature rating of -60°F to 250°F to some of the most commonly used V-belt cross sections in the HVAC industry: AX, BX, CX, 3VX, 5VX, and 8VX Gripnotch belts.
Strobic Air has expanded its fume exhaust offering to include the new Mono-Stack fan which incorporates efficient nozzle design and high plume dispersion for pollution abatement, re-entrainment prevention, odor control, and energy recovery.
Leaning on experience and data from various K-12 cities and projects, the author pursues some less conventional design approaches. They may revolve around radiant heating and/or cooling, but depending on school size and other factors, the smart use of heat recovery, DOAS, and improved central plants could also put a project on the HVAC honor roll.
