SPX Cooling Technologies announced a redesign of its Marley AV line of factory-assembled single flow cooling towers. The new induced draft crossflow design features both single- and multi-fan models and a broader tonnage range from 122 to 772 nominal tons and flowrate of 117 to 1,541 gpm (27 to 350 m3/hr).The AV provides a compact footprint and is well-suited to support air conditioning and refrigeration systems as well as light industrial loads.
Air Monitor’s ELECTRA-flo/SD is a thermal airflow and temperature measurement system designed for applications in small ducts ranging in size from 4-in to 16-in diameter. The product provides a calibrated output with an accuracy of ±2-3% of airflow reading from 0-3,000 FPM and a temperature measurement accuracy of ±0.15 ̊ F.
Laars has introduced the new Mascot ST condensing tankless water heater. The natural gas or LP-fired unit offers an ultra-high 0.96 EF (energy factor) efficient stainless steel heat exchanger, full 10:1 modulation, and is available in a 199 MBH size.
ONICON Incorporated introduced its new F-4400 Portable Clamp-on Ultrasonic Flow Meter. The F-4400 features a fluid temperature range of -40° to 300°F and operates over a wide flow range. It has a “no-moving-parts” design and does not penetrate the pipe.
SEMCO® LLC has introduced the NEUTON™, a plug-and-play controlled chilled beam pump module (CCBPM) for reducing chilled beam system installation and operational costs. According to the company, NEUTON is the industry's first proactive condensation control device for active chilled beams. It is a factory-built and pre-tested CCBPM package complete with its own powered integrated DDC, chilled and hot water connections, valves, variable-speed electronically commutated (EC) motor pumps, smart sensors and other features.
Belimo Americas has released its new inline Flow Meters (.5 in to 2 in) which aim to provide accurate and repeatable hot or chilled water flow measurement. Utilizing an ultrasonic transit time technology, the transducers perform as both emitter and receiver to provide accurate signal. The meter is multi-point wet calibrated to ensure accuracy and repeatability.
GF Piping Systems has introduced the Type 514-519 High Flow Diaphragm Valve Series. The valves are designed to provide a true break-through for weir style valves. The valve features an optimized, turbulence-free flow geometry that offers significantly increased flow rate performance and lower energy consumption, according to the company. These features expand the valve’s suitability for applications where diaphragm valves were previously not considered due to flow restriction.
ABB introduces a new range of vortex and swirl flowmeters. The new product series replaces the previous TRIO-WIRL devices. The company claims that both devices build on the advantages of ABB’s unique swirl flow measurement technology to deliver high accuracy, high reliability, and ease of installation. Plus, the new devices offer numerous innovations to save operational costs and improve performance.
Emerson Climate Technologies Flow Controls launched its new EX3 electronic expansion valve. The company says the EX3 is a stepper-motor driven electronic expansion valve that provides precise mass flow control and high energy efficiency for supermarket showcases and cold rooms with multiple parallel evaporators.
