AHSRAE launched the Building Energy Quotient program, known as Building EQ, which includes both As Designed (asset) and In Operation (as operational) ratings for all building types except residential.ESreported on the program in ourDecember 2009issue.

Now comes word that ASHRAE has appointed 17 “provisional assessors to assess energy use.” The information will be presented to building owners to help them improve energy efficiency.
