From AHUs to new chilled water loop management to lighting and life safety, the upgrades to these two state office buildings were as numerous as they were effective. However, this story is especially notable for the analysis that led to the project decisions - including omitting a couple of innovative options for cost - and the verification that confirmed the payoff. Leaning on experience and data from various K-12 cities and projects, the author pursues some less conventional design approaches.
