The company says the turbulent flow created by corrugated plates in its Superchanger® plate-and-frame heat exchanger results in heat transfer coefficients from two to five times greater than those achieved by shell-and-tube units. Cooling applications include cooling tower circuit isolation; free cooling, static head isolation; water source heat pump precooling; and isolation of river, lake, waste, or seawater coolants. Heating applications include heating potable water, waste heat recovery from overheated areas, geothermal heating, district or zone heating, plus others.
