Fellowes, Inc. introduced its line of air quality control systems designed to reduce the presence of airborne germs, allergens, and odor in public and shared spaces, such as restrooms, cafeterias, break and waiting rooms. AeraMax® PRO air quality control systems are designed specifically for installation in public and shared spaces.
RectorSeal Corp. has developed Actabs® DMSS, a micro-biocide and dissolving treatment for contaminated solids designed specifically for maintaining clean condensate pans and drain line orifices in ductless and mini-split system (DMSS) air conditioning units.
Lennox has expanded its Energence® rooftop line with new ultra-high-efficiency models. Lennox’ ultra-high-efficiency Energence units feature efficiencies of up to 21.5 IEER and 13.9EER resulting in overall lower operating costs and service, which the company says contributes to the lowest total cost of ownership. Energence ultra-high-efficiency units are designed to offer customers energy savings with features such as the Advanced Cooling System and the DirectPlus™ blower system. In addition to sustained savings, the Energence ultra-high-efficiency lineup exceeds ASHRAE 90.1 minimum standards by 92%, exceeds CEE Tier 1 and 2 efficiency minimum requirements, and qualifies for many potential utility rebates and incentives, while also providing additional options to meet California Energy Code Title 24.
Grundfos has released the Comfort PM Auto range of intelligent and energy-efficient hot water recirculation pumps. The company says the pumps eliminate the wait for hot water at showerheads and sink taps. Compared with conventional pumps that run continuously, company officials claim the Comfort PM Auto is capable of reducing energy costs by as much as 96% thanks to the Autoadapt feature, which ensures that the pump runs only when required.
Daikin Applied has added natural gas heating as an option to its Skyline™ commercial outdoor air handler line. The gas heat option provides lower operating cost and increased energy saving solutions for building owners and facility managers, while maximizing HVAC system performance, according to the company.
Rosenberg USA released a new version of its ETRI 148V Series AC axial fan featuring an aluminum body that reduces weight by nearly 20% to less than 2 lbs. The company claims its new fans outperform competitive models in airflow by 9% and life expectancy by 33% to 50%.
Integrating thin film resistor sensing and patented air-sampling technology, the NJK Precision officials said its Air Flow Monitoring Station features an “air foil” and multiple precision-formed air passages (hole pattern) that are integrated into a stainless-steel assembly. Built to order, the structure’s engineered hole pattern can maintain its measuring accuracy even with 50% hole blockage. The system fits into existing ductwork – no duct removal is required. Installation requires cutting an opening, adding a C-Channel insert, sliding the sensor in, and installing a cover plate. No K-factor or in-field adjustments are required.
Omega introduced its new series of rangeable, very low differential pressure transmitters which can output either static (gage) pressure or differential pressure. The PX2600 series has four unidirectional and four bi-directional ranges, three selectable outputs (0 to 5 Vdc, 0 to 10 Vdc, 4 to 20 mA 2-wire), pushbutton or remote zero, and four-digit LCD with the ability to show either static or differential pressure.
B&K Precision is offering three new models of its high power programmable DC power supplies, models PVS10005, PVS60085, and PVS60085MR. The new PVS Series delivers output power up to 5.1 kW. The company says they deliver excellent regulation, low noise, and fast transient response times. All models provide a built-in solar array simulator (SAS) function to generate photovoltaic I-V curves. Offering high-power density in a compact 2U form factor, these DC power supplies are suitable for high voltage testing up to 1000 V, motor inverter testing, and solar array testing applications.
