Ideal residential and light commercial installations, the LG Multi V S lineup now includes 2-ton heat pump and 5-ton heat recovery models designed to provide simultaneous heating and cooling even in extreme weather.

Daikin Applied has introduced new developments with its Magnitude® WME Generation 2 magnetic bearing chiller. Firmly grounded in Daikin’s oil-free, magnetic bearing compressor technology, the Magnitude® WME Generation 2 builds on its performance with a redesign of the single compressor WME models from 400 to nearly 800 tons. The company says the Magnitude WME Generation 2 offers improved performance (especially in harsher climates), lower operating costs, and improved first costs.
EVAPCO, Inc. launched the eco-LSWE and eco-LRWB series of closed circuit coolers. The coolers feature EVAPCO’s Ellipti-fin™ spirally-finned coil and CROSSCOOL™ internal tube enhancement for energy and water efficiency.
Grundfos is extending its SL and SE range of wastewater pumps to include “medium,” “high,” and “super high” hydraulic offerings from 12 hp to 42 hp. Designed to handle raw, unscreened sewage, effluent and large volumes of surface and process water, the company claims the extended selection ensures the highest pump efficiencies over a wider range of demand and the largest free passage of solids at the lowest vibrations.
SPX Cooling Technologies, Inc. introduced the Marley® CP fiberglass, induced draft, counterflow cooling tower, designed for space- and sound-sensitive applications. The CP tower features a stainless steel structure and fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP) casing, which the company says provides a strong, corrosion-resistant assembly. The Marley CP cooling tower is factory-assembled or ships in modules.
Viega’s new 45-degree elbows for Viega PEX Press systems allow users to install larger tubing with Viega’s press technology, according to the company. The new, polymer PEX Press 45-degree elbows are available in 1.5-in and 2-in sizes. The elbows feature Viega’s patented Smart Connect® feature, which allows water to flow past an unpressed fitting.
Johnson Controls has expanded its YORK line of YLAA Air-Cooled Scroll Chillers up to 200 tons. The company says the extended capacity of the YLAA offers a more cost competitive solution to 200-ton opportunities without sacrificing size, quality, and efficiency.
