Magnum Energy Solutions has introduced a new product for commercial building automation. The cBox or “CloudBox” is a gateway that enables self-powered, wireless devices to securely and efficiently communicate with Amazon Web Services (AWS) IoT. The cBox enables smart building control and the remote monitoring of devices, including Magnum’s OPUS lighting nodes, to connect, authenticate, and exchange critical data with AWS IoT using the M2M IoT protocol MQTT.
Ruskin model DFD-LP Low Profile, Low Pressure Drop Dynamic Fire Damper is designed for dual directional air flow. The damper is constructed with an integral sleeve/frame and an aerodynamic shaped blade for high-velocity applications.
SPX Cooling Technologies, Inc. introduced the availability of new patent-pending modular construction techniques for the Marley F400 Cooling Tower. For large-scale HVAC, power and heavy industrial applications, the company says its F400 Cooling Tower is the industry standard counterflow field-erected tower.
Daikin Applied’s Intelligent Equipment® is now available as a factory-installed option on Trailblazer® chillers. The company says the equipment helps building owners and facility managers transform how they manage HVAC equipment. Officials also said the Intelligent Equipment transfers and applies data from the unit through the cloud to drive value, helping building operators monitor energy consumption at the equipment level.
Honeywell has expanded its line of pressure monitoring sensors designed to minimize the total cost of pressure management for HVAC and refrigeration systems. Honeywell’s PX3 series heavy duty pressure transducers convert pressure into an analog electrical signal. The sensors feature a brass housing and can support multiple configurations to help endusers minimize implementation and production costs.
Bonomi North America is introducing a new series of NSF-Certified butterfly valves with factory-installed electric or pneumatic actuators for potable water applications with high flow requirements. The new N500 Series wafer and N501 lug body valves feature ductile iron body construction with EDPM rubber seats. They are available with stainless steel disc (N500S/N501S) or nylon-coated disc (N500N/N501N). All are approved to NSF /ANSI 61,372. Sizes range from 2 in through 12 in.
