Schebler says its Sequence Draft Control™ (SDC) design service offers boiler and hot water heater manufacturers a complete engineered venting system. SDC is capable of maintaining the desired condensing dew point of combustion, preventing excess draft which impacts efficiency and fuel/air ratio’s – especially with high turndown modulating burners.
Mitsubishi Electric U.S. Cooling & Heating Division has made enhancements to the P-Series Hyper-Heating INVERTER (H2i®) heat pump outdoor units for light commercial applications. Featuring H2i technology, the company says its H2i P-Series boasts higher efficiency and performance with improved heating capacity at very low ambient conditions. The units Hot Start process guarantees warm air flow from the start, which is critical in cold climate conditions where heating performance truly counts. Additionally, the P-Series offers multiple fan speeds, and its humidity-reducing dry mode helps to combat excess moisture in rooms.
Taco has expanded its suction diffuser line with three new sizes: 4- by 2.5-in, 5- by 3-in, and 8- by 5-in sizes. Taco says its suction diffusers incorporate numerous features into one device that simplifies installations and reduces installation costs.
The new MagnaTherm from Laars is a 95% thermal efficiency modulating-condensing boiler or volume water heater available in 2, 3, and 4 million Btu/H sizes. MagnaTherm says it offers a 5:1 turndown, small footprint, slim vertical design with removable top section, a stainless steel heat exchanger, and multiple voltage options to match building service. Designed and made in the U.S.A, the MagnaTherm meets all ASME requirements and is AHRI certified.
Ashcroft® says its new bimetal thermometers are safe and reliable, eliminating the use of mercury to measure temperature.
Modine has introduced the redesigned Airedale ClassMate® single packaged vertical DX and heat pump system. According to the company, the ClassMate offers efficiency, noise reduction, and a smaller footprint, providing great flexibility for school installations. The ClassMate is offered in four capacities in two cabinet sizes. Also, EER is boosted up to 12% over the existing ClassMate HE for integrated part-load values up to 16.1.
A new Touch Screen Controller from Camfil Air Pollution Control provides full monitoring and control of all functions of an industrial dust collector and associated equipment. The controller is equipped with a touch screen interface that allows ready access to all of its functions. It is designed for use with Farr Gold Series® dust collectors, or other types of collectors if integrated with a motor starter or VFD package.
Mitsubishi Electric says it has made significant enhancements to its Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) zoning R2-Series and Y-Series cooling and heating systems. Leading efficiencies, a smaller footprint, and improved heating startup make these outdoor units ideal for commercial applications, according to the company.
Bosch has introduced a new lineup of 9- and 14-gallon vacuums. The VAC090S and VAC090A 9-gallon vacuums and VAC140S and VAC140A 14-gallon vacuums are designed to increase dust extraction performance and decrease the loss of suction by offering two options of on-board filter cleaning; semi-automatic and automatic. These features are especially important in applications that require premium dust extraction such as tuckpointing, concrete surfacing, concrete drilling, cutting and chipping concrete, and collecting a diversity of dust particles in stationary workshops.
