The company says it has improved the efficiency levels of its Earth•Wise CenTraVac centrifugal chiller, designed to provide air conditioning for a wide range of applications. It says an efficiency level of 0.45 kW/ton at standard ARI rating conditions is possible. Added features designed to make that goal attainable include a refrigerant pump that not only allows the motor heat to be rejected directly to the condenser but also significantly improves motor efficiency, says the company. Also added are an entirely new gasket process and a microprocessor-based Tracer Summit® building automation chiller/tower optimization program.
