The former president of the American Institute of Architects, the former chairman of the Gypsum Association, and the vice president in charge of design for Marriott International were recently elected to the board of directors ofthe National Institute of Building Sciences(NIBS) in Washington. Elected were:Ronald L. Skaggs, FAIA, FACRA, chairman of RKS, one of the world's largest design firms specializing in medical facilities, and former president of the American Institute of Architects;Gerard P. Carroll, senior vice president, manufacturing operations and engineering, National Gypsum Co., and past chairman of the Gypsum Association; andWilliam S. Roy, vice president of design and project management for Marriott International.
