A new technical data sheet, "Diaphragm Formula and Definition of Terms," shows diagrams, formulas, and definitions of common diaphragm configurations to help product designers specify molded diaphragm seals. The data sheet illustrates how to calculate proper diaphragm height, effective area, and working pressure capability, as well as the skirt length for piston hardware. Typical applications include valve actuators, pressure regulators, valves, pumps, positioning actuators, pressure switches, and flow meters.
