Comfort First Products/IDM, Inc. (www.comfortfirstproducts.com) launches their enhanced diffuser with a built-in air filtration system, the Comfort First Filtered Diffuser™, at the AHR Expo in Las Vegas. This sequel to the popular Control-A-Flow Draft Eliminator with Anti-microbial Filter combines that products best features with the unique features of the Comfort First into one sleek and integrated ceiling supply diffuser.
The Comfort First Filtered Diffuser™ is the only diffuser that offers 4-way airflow and the ability to adjust the angle the air enters the room on all four sides; one side can blow down at a 45° angle, two sides can blow straight out while the fourth bounces off the ceiling, or any configuration desired. Energy savings is achieved by the Comfort First providing superior air distribution, which creates a consistent temperature throughout the room for no more hot or cold spots. This allows the thermostat to increase or decrease 2 to 3 degrees while maintaining a comfortable ambient air temperature. Each degree can save as much as 5% of building cooling/heating costs.
The Comfort First Filtered Diffuser™ also addresses complaints about drafts from overhead diffusers and illness and allergic reactions from polluted ductwork. The 4-way adjustable airflow prevents air from blowing straight down onto occupants, eliminating draft complaints. Indoor air quality is a major concern for many and the four electrostatic air filters cover each discharge point on the inside of the diffuser, filtering air as it enters the room and removing pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, including many mold and mildew spores, bacteria, pollens and more. The filtration system features a “quick-release” design for fast and easy filter replacement every six months.
