The energy-saving Trane Tracer SC Building Automation System (BAS) now features an upgraded user interface — that supports multiple browsers providing easy access to facility information via smartphone or tablet — and is redesigned to optimize user efficiency and productivity.

The enhanced Tracer SC features a quick and easy-to-use system interface that is not dependent on browser plug-ins, increasing speed and compatibility. Standard system three-dimensional graphics and standard status pages make it easier for users to update building information. Custom graphics can be used to tailor pages to an organization’s unique needs.

The Tracer SC system is a flexible, scalable, web-based BAS that uses open standard protocols to manage building systems such as HVAC and lighting. Trane, a leading global provider of indoor comfort systems and services and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, designed the innovative control applications of Tracer SC to provide comfort, energy efficiency and reliable control for systems in all industries, especially education, healthcare and commercial retail buildings.

“Building owners and facility managers are more pressured than ever before to work efficiently and effectively,” said Joel Lehman, vice president of global controls and smart products for Trane. “Based on feedback from our customers we created the mobile capabilities and other features of the new Tracer SC to enable them to maximize their productivity and provide on-the-go access from their smartphones or tablets.”

Tracer SC communicates with BACNet™ and LonTalk™ controls to provide a fully scalable solution for small, medium or large installations that can grow with a building’s system size and complexity.
