BACnet International's 10th interoperability gathering is expected to be the largest yet.PlugFest 2009, the industry's leading workshop for companies to perform interoperability testing for their BACnet® enabled solutions, will take place October 13th to 15th at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel Atlanta Airport in College Park, GA. This year marks the 10th annual interoperability workshop and is expected to be the largest to date, with participation from over 100 engineers from over 30 different companies.

Plugfest appeals to building automation suppliers and engineers seeking an opportunity to test their solutions in a vendor neutral and friendly environment with other community members. More information about Plugfest 2009, including vendor applications, registration details, requests for topics and other logistics, can be found at: http://bacnetinternational.org/displaycommon.cfm?an=1&subarticlenbr=102

According to Andy McMillan, President of BACnet International and President/CEO of Teletrol Systems, "Plugfest is a unique opportunity for suppliers to validate the interoperability of their BACnet products." He continued, "The fact that we are in our tenth consecutive year of Plugfest is a testament to collaborative nature of the BACnet community and is one of the reasons BACnet has established itself as the global standard for building automation data communications."

Plugfest 2009 will feature several different opportunities for attendees, including: one-on-one testing sessions designed to allow each team to test their products with other company's product based on a formalized schedule, round table testing which will allow vendors to conduct unscheduled testing on days 2 and 3 of the workshop, and various BACnet training sessions. There will also be a BTL-WG meeting on Monday prior to the workshop. Anyone interested in attending the working group meeting should contact the BTL Manager.
