The company says its new Turbo-Disc filter — available in a manual version and a fully automatic, self-cleaning version — filters unwanted particulate and other contaminants from cooling tower water, chilled water, and process water. A high- velocity spinning action occurs as water enters the manual Turbo-Disc housing, designed to spiral heavier particles (sediment) away from the disc cartridge down to the bottom of the filter. According to the company, these accumulated particles are then flushed from the filter via the 1⁄4-in. connection at the base of the filter housing.
