Nortek Global HVAC introduced a new line of highly-configurable Reznor® light commercial packaged rooftops. They are available in 6, 7.5 and 10 tons. The company says the rooftop units can be configured at the factory so consultant engineers or design-build contractors can get the exact spec unit they need delivered to the job site. With over 35 options per tonnage size, there are over 750,000 unit configurations available. A quick-ship option is available out of the factory in Dyersburg, Tenn.
Honeywell has expanded its line of pressure monitoring sensors designed to minimize the total cost of pressure management for HVAC and refrigeration systems. Honeywell’s PX3 series heavy duty pressure transducers convert pressure into an analog electrical signal. The sensors feature a brass housing and can support multiple configurations to help endusers minimize implementation and production costs.
Taco has added a new Multi-Volt Zone Sentry zone valve for use in hydronic heating and other HVAC systems such as those with fan coils and air handlers. The new mechanical valve allows one actuator to accept input voltages between 120 and 277VAC 50/60HZ.
Onicon has released a new small pipe configuration of its F-3500 flow meter which extends the low-end of the allowable nominal pipe size range from 3 in to 1.25 in. The company says the small pipe configuration of the F-3500 remains easy to insert and remove without a system shutdown via the unique hot tap design.
Carrier has introduced the AquaSnap 30RAP chiller featuring the Greenspeed Intelligence option, which includes variable speed technology. The company says adding Greenspeed Intelligence to a 30RAP chiller will boost integrated part load value, making it a more efficient chiller in its class, serving applications from 10 to 60 tons.
Regal Beloit says its new DEC Star system combines patented technologies of Genteq® HEB blowers and axial flux Genteq motors to improve efficiency for HVAC appliances, and reduce input wattage by 15 to 35% over standard blowers with traditional ECM motors.
Big Ass Fans® unveiled the redesigned LED attachment for the Powerfoil®X2.0 ceiling fan. The LED produces up to 20,700 lumens, equal to the light output of 25 60-watt incandescent bulbs. For spaces that require less light, there are 9,050- and 14,500-lumen configurations available.
Johnson Controls introduced its new TEC3000 Series thermostat controllers. The company claims these direct hardware replacements for TEC2000 Series thermostats reduce installation time by loading all configuration files and parameters at once using a USB stick. The thermostats also offer rapid-speed commissioning by using the USB stick to commission multiple TEC3000s of the same model.
Chromalox has introduced the 1/16 DIN single loop temperature and process controller. The Chromalox model 6060 controller offers such features as two PID sets, multiple inputs and outputs, heat/cool operation, soft start function, self-tuning startup, and optional Modbus/RTU RS485 communications.
Toshiba International Corp. now offers the Energy Star-certified Toshiba G9000 uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system in 1000 kVA/1000 kW capacity. The G9000 line of UPSs are true online, double-conversion UPS systems providing power at up to 97% efficiency. The company says this is the largest unit yet in the G9000 product line, and is ready to ship from the manufacturing and engineering facility in Houston.
