Quantech™ has added QCC2 and QCC3 air-cooled, scroll-compressor condensing units for applications ranging from 15 to 160 tons to its portfolio of ready-to-ship products. The condensing units are designed for pairing with indoor air handlers using direct expansion (DX) evaporator coils. Quantech QDC condensers and QDCF fluid coolers are also available for air conditioning and refrigeration applications as high as 2,890 MBH.
Emerson Climate Technologies has made changes to its existing Copeland compressor and condensing unit platforms used in refrigeration systems servicing walk-in and reach-in applications in order to meet new energy standards.
Aqua Products Company, Inc has introduced new expandable sizes of its Build-A-Chiller models know as the Chiller-Pac (CP). CP Models are now expanded from 1 ton up to 50 ton. The models include a custom designed evaporator module with all refrigeration and electrical components needed to assemble a fully custom designed remote chiller built into a single cabinet. All that is needed to make a remote chiller is your air cooled or water cooled condensing unit, and a buffer tank and pump(s).
The high-profile equipment involves an efficient, resilient trigeneration plant to provide heating, cooling, and power service. However, UConn’s most critical asset may be its forward-thinking, campus-wide energy strategy. Read more stories in June Issue 2017.
