The Rittal Blue e+ cooling units are now available in a roof-mounted version. The units, suitable for enclosures from a size of 800 mm by 600 mm (W x D) upwards, have a cooling output of 1.3 kW. The company says this means that cold air can also flow from above around the devices installed inside the enclosure, such as frequency converters. Alternatively, cooling can also be provided in combination with the new VX25 large enclosure system as a complete integration solution.
Cooper&Hunter added a new series to its current heat pump line-up with single-zone applications. The new Dakota series aims to ensure consistent warm comfort during extreme climate and the condenser heat output capacity allows the unit to work efficiently as a primary heat source even if the temperature drops to a sub-zero level of minus 22ºF.
Danfoss has added new 8.5-ton and 11-ton variable-speed compressors with intermediate discharge valves to its VZH range. The new inverter scrolls are ideal for data center close controls and rooftop units for energy-efficient cooling.
Trane announced the availability of its XR16 low profile side discharge air conditioning unit for split ducted systems. This high-performance, low-profile unit features a side discharge, making it ideal for difficult-to-install applications or in tight space requirements where vertical discharge units prove less than optimal.
Trane added a 3-5-ton offering to its portfolio of Foundation™ light-commercial rooftop HVAC units to provide customers with a new solution ideal for emergency replacement. The 3-5-ton unit footprint fits a common roof curb used on many existing commercial buildings. The unit can be installed without the need for an adapter, which saves customers time and money during installation.
Emerson it has launched the latest update to its Copeland Scroll™ Outdoor Refrigeration Condensing Unit (X-Line). According to the company, the latest update to the X-Line includes improved serviceability and additional communications options.
The Luxaire Eclipse rooftop replacement solution from Johnson Controls now offers 10-ton XX packaged heat pumps and 3- to 5-ton ZQ 14 SEER air conditioning units. Similar to other products in the Eclipse series, the units feature an exact-fit replacement design that matches the units to footprints of other manufacturers’ units. The company says this reduces installation time, cost, and complexity by eliminating the need for a curb adapter.
Howden American Fan Company has introduced its new ventilation concept for underground parking garages, which includes two alternative options — the Jet Thrust Fan and the Induction Thrust Fan. The company says the new system lowers the required parking garage height by about 4 ft, reducing excavation and cement costs and lowering overall construction costs.
The latest multi-zone split system from Fujitsu is the AOU45RLXFZ, five-zone heat pump. The heat pump system permits connection of between two and five indoor units to one outdoor condensing unit. The company says the system offers high efficiency operation of up to 19.7 SEER and 10.3 HSPF.
