Cooling Technologies Inc.(Toledo, OH) says it will begin production of a high-efficiency, natural gas-fired air conditioning unit at its new manufacturing operation in Johnstown, Ohio. The Toledo-based company leased 15,000 sq ft and expects to invest $1.5 million to get the facility up and running. The technology for the product, called Cooltec5, was developed at Ohio State University and uses an environmentally friendly chilled water circuit and contains no chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), which are present in almost all traditional air conditioning and chiller appliances.
