According to the company, its WattNode® for LonWorks® is the world's smallest true RMS power measurement transducer that communicates over Echelon's LonWorks network. Its compact size is 3.3-in. by 5.6-in. by 1.25-in., and it fits inside most electrical service panels and junction boxes. Building applications include energy monitoring, performance verification, and sub-metering. For sub-metering applications in existing buildings, such as apartments and strip malls, models with Echelon's PL-21 power line transceiver eliminate the need to run signal wiring to couple the WattNode to the network, says the company.
