In its residential and commercial power direct-vented water heaters employing induced draft blowers and hot surface ignition, the company says it has replaced three separate components with the Honeywell SmartValve™ Water Heater Control. According to the company, the control features 120-V HIS direct main burner ignition using a Norton Model 601 igniter or equivalent. The system initiates multiple trials for ignition and includes auto reset from lockout and prepurge/postpurge capability.
